Halo 3 Planet

Halo 3 Planet is hosting its very first [tag]Contest[/tag], complete with [tag]Halo[/tag] Swag and some other cool prizes.  We’re looking for the Halo community to get creative with Forge, and build some cool maps and game.  The best ones will take home some sweet prizes!

It’s our Ultimate FORGE-tacular! Giveaway!

The Rules are simple. We simply want you to design your own map using “Forge”, and then create a custom gametype to go with it. When the contest ends, we’ll decide which Game is the best of them all (based on downloads, rating, and personal judging).

You can get all of the details on the Contests Rules page.  We’ll keep adding more prizes if enough people participate (perhaps even a Halo 3 Zune or 360 Console)!  We’ll also post our favorites on our brand new Custom Games page for everyone to download!

Our guide for all of the Halo 3 Armor Permutations is now complete!  We’ve included photos of each set of armor from [tag]Halo 3[/tag] (save 2, which will be posted in the very near future), as well as instructions for unlocking each.

We’ve also included details about the Recon Armor, and the Flaming Hayabusa Helmet (although today Bungie sort of denied the existence of such a thing…).

We’re working diligently on a Halo 3 Armor Permutation Guide here at H3P for those of you looking to unlock all of the Armor sets for use in Custom Games / Matchmaking.  For those of you who don’t know, you can change your appearance in [tag]Halo 3[/tag] to personalize your own character.

At this point, we are about halfway done with all of the different armor sets, but we should have them all up in the next day or so.  We’ll hook you up with everything from the Recon Helmet to the Hayabusa (Ninja) Helmet.

What armor are you using right now?

[tag]Bungie[/tag] is having a huge Q & A session, where you get to ask the questions, and they’ll answer them this Friday (tomorrow). You’ll need to have a Bnet account, but if you have any questions about [tag]Halo 3[/tag] which have been bothering you, now is the time to get answers straight from the source!

There are lots of questions being asked that have already been answered by other forum members at Bungie.net, so you might even have your questions answered before Friday.

I’ve asked about the prizes that were supposedly being given away for the IRIS Alternate Reality Game for those who unlocked servers 3-5. I’m not sure that Bungie is directly responsible for those prizes, but maybe they’ll have some more information on them. The guys over at ABO still have not received any word on them.

Oh, and let us know what questions you ask (if any).

We’re starting a list of IWHBYD Skull Effects on H3P, and we’re wondering what dialogue you’ve found to be entertaining.  Such dialogue includes marines shouting, “For Sparta!!!”, or Brutes retorting, “We don’t take Mastercard”.

There are probably quite a few that no one has even found yet…

What effects are your favorite!  If you share them here, we’ll probably even post it on our effects page.
