Trixie’s reference is correct, but also in the Halo stories S1 can refer to Spartan 1s, or the first series of Spartans. Master Chief and the other Spartans he was trained with are considered part of the SII program (Spartan 2s). Does it mean anything? Who knows.

Spooks friend – the Master Chief became the “last” Spartan just before the first Halo, so I doubt they’ll go that far back.

So, Master Chief is stuck in space. Then it shows his ship getting closer and closer to a planet, (which many fans think its Onyx from the novel series…)

Soooo maybe, this teaser trailer is a point of view from a security system on Onyx? Prepare to drop could mean Master Chiefs landing on Onyx…well thats what I thought. :-\

spook is completly rite cuz at da end of halo 2 da chief comes out of hyperspace with truth and before chief says ” sir finishing this fight ” look at the backround picture and u will see earth and like a huge covonent vs human space war goin on ………..and i kinda think da expansion takes place before the master chief was the only spartan but u never know ……..and oh yeah bungie is gonna announce sumting at the tokyo game show

Well the thing about it being part of Halo 2 wouldn’t make much sense if they are including the Halo 3 title in the trailer. If the pictures showed the flood then its just before the last prophet took that arc ship to the arc. If you remember the flood shipped that crashed and we blew up before then after that the chief ends up heading off of earth so this might be the time frame from when chief left earth to just before we see the final scene at the end of the game (halo3) dedicating that little “statue” peice of a fallen air ship to those who died. That whole space of time we don’t really know whats going on on earth because there were still covenant left there and the flood might still be there even though they destroyed the city.
